I have lived in many provinces around South Africa.
I spent most of primary school in Welkom in the Free State. In Standard Five(Grade 7) I was sent to boarding school in Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape. After school I spent a year in Paraguay, South America. I returned to Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal. In 2005 I moved to Cape Town.

I am a little unconventional, I have the pleasure of sharing my life with 6 rescue dogs, I get pleasure and stress relief from gardening and I love to find out what makes people tick, what makes them unique and special. To quote one of my favourite poems, the Desiderata:

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

I have worked in various industries from cupboard manufacturing to embroidering corporate logos. I, myself have struggled to find the career that best suits me. I have studied at various institutions and tried my hand at various careers. Eventually, I graduated with a Diploma in Counselling and Communication (Coaching), from the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). I am currently the Coach to the College SA group.

If only I had had a career coach all those years back, I could have saved myself a lot of time and heartache. But maybe I had to have all those experiences, so that I am able to help you help yourself.

I enjoy asking the tough questions that make you think. By challenging your limiting beliefs & exposing your blind side (we all have this) you will be able to make better decisions and see why you are repeating the same patterns with no change in the outcomes. Albert Einstein said: insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Part of the work that we do is to show you alternatives to your thoughts patterns.

I work from a holistic perspective. This means that I look at your life as a whole and together we figure out what needs to be done in order for you to improve your life.

One of the many things that I enjoy about my work is discovering what has prevented you from reaching your goals. This is a very rewarding journey for me as I watch you grow and flourish. I too am being coached, so I am aware of what it feels like to be the ‘client’. I think that this enables me to be more empathic to the process that my clients are experiencing.
